Missing mail

On 21st May 2015 a friend in Minnesota, USA, posted me a package. Not having received a collection notice by July, I went to the Edenvale post office to enquire about it. I had a USA tracking number, but they said there was no record of it on the system. I went back on a regular basis, but was always told that it was not on the system, which meant that it hadn't arrived in SA. We've been wondering about what happened to it for months. Imagine both of our surprise when she received the returned package yesterday, marked unclaimed! And it had SA tracking numbers on it! It was received in SA on 14th July 2015. I never once got a collection notice, even though the address details were correct. Shockingly poor service by SA Post Office.
