Lost parcel

I ordered something online as a Christmas present at the beginning on November. According to the foreign tracking it arrived at the postal hub on 19th November. I have yet to receive it. I emailed the addresses supp**** for tracking a foreign parcel and simply got told that the foreign tracking number was not valid. Please can someone help. Am so not impressed with our postal service.
