Lost Parcel

I need to track my parcel urgently from the USA I phone Trac and trace and all that they say is parcel is in transit, a parcel can't be in trancit from the 2 July 2019 till today.
I need to know what is the next step. The South african post office service is a disaster in south Africa, no one answer phones and can help to report a lost parcel Email ***
