Is it possible for any business to be worse than SAPO?

1. Call Centre: I have never had any call answered within 15 minutes. Do they have only one call centre operator serving the whole country?

2. Email enquiries: In spite of their bold promise to respond to any tracking email enquiry within 24 hours, I have sent several enqiuiries in the past that were left entirely unanswered.

3. Website: Who developed and manages the website? My guess would be that it's the responsibility of the sole call centre operator, which would go some way in explaining the time taken to answer calls: Half of the time one can't connect to the website because of security certificate issues on their side; and if you are fortunate enough to connect, it's so sluggish that it is actually easier to see the hour hand on a watch moving or a plant growing.

4. Time and time again I have ordered items from abroad, that somehow manage to travel halfway across the world in three days, and then take that number of weeks (or more) to travel the last few hundred kilometers.

Suggestion for hellopeter: Expand your rating system to make allowance for intitutions such as SAPO , i.e. make it possible for users to give 0 stars or, more appropriately, a negative number of stars - just don't ask the same bunch in charge of SAPO's website to make the changes for you.

Update (2017-06-23)

And just when I thought it couldn't get any worse, SAPO has proven me wrong. Their website is available again (Hurrah!) but now it seems as if they are recycling tracking numbers. No problem with that in principle; except they have forgotten, or failed to bother, clearing their database of old entries. If I retrieve tracking information (and this has been the case for three different parcels I'm tracking at the moment), I see something like this (I blanked out some entries for privacy reasons):

1 Incomming International 2017-06-17 10:24 JHB INT MAIL CENTRE (HUB)
2 Item delivered to: *** **** 2011-07-26 12:24 BEDFORDVIEW
3 At Office 2011-07-05 09:49 BEDFORDVIEW First Notification to recipient
4 In transit 2011-07-04 11:28 JHB INT MAIL CENTRE (HUB)

And if one dares to enter an invalid tracking number, you are confronted with the following exceptionally professional error message:

Error: 5 ~ON~ý Index was outside the bounds of the array.

I work for a well-known online listing company, and all I can say, if I placed such garbage on our website for public view, I'd probably be fired.

And finally, being a stickler for detail, I'd suggest that SAPO would do well to run their text through a spell checker, so that words like 'incomming' are spelled correctly.
