Insurance claim for ****** parcel

An insured item was posted on 9 June 2014 to Houghton post office. The tracking number was PA***ZA.

The goods (an ipod touch), were ****** from the box which the had to be given to Houghton branch to 'investigate' the theft. The original tape sealing the box has a post office sticker on it and then you can see that after this it was opened and re-sealed, the *****s tape goes over the post office sticker. This proves that the box was opened and re-sealed after the box was processed by the Post Office.

I have sent more than 10 follow up emails to customer services and Petrus Beukes of the Houghton branch. I now have a reference number for the case which is HD***.

This is a very simple insurance claim which has taken over 6 months and is still unresolved. The Post Office has a responsibility to resolve issues quicker than this as a commercial insurer will settle a claim within a week.

The level of service I despicable to say the least and my confidence in the Post Office is incredibly low as a result of the service and resolution of the associated insurance claim.

I would appreciate assistance to resolve this claim.

Sheldon Baker
***
