Incorrect charge of import tax on a gift

A parcel was sent to me from Scotland a gift not bought just about 2 months ago. I have been tracking my parcel online which was dispatched to be delivered via Rondebosch post office I waited for my slip 2 weeks past I called querying only to find I been charged import tax on a gift ridiculously high. Then asking them why the refer me to customs assessing department then they refer me to sars what a run around just to get my birthday gift!!! Sars request me to ask the post office to send it back for reassessing but today calling the parcel is back at the Rondebosch post office with the same amount of import tax NOTHING BEEN DONE!!! I am fuming at this point. Sick of poor service sick of people who just pushes customers from pillar to post like that's their monthly wages worth. So fed up !!!
