I need help with my parcel I shipped last year from turkey

My name is Mojabeng Innocentia Motloung. I shipped my belongings from turkey to south Africa using PTT(Turkish post) in August 2020. According to the PTT the items were supposed to take 4 weeks max to arrive in south Africa, which no lie they delivered on their part. Now my problem is with the South African Post office service. They have been keeping the items with them ever since they arrived here in October 2020. I've made inquiries via email to find out how far they are with the process of clearing and when they were going to be deliver the items, that's when I received an email from JIMC written by Rodney Mackenzie. The email stated that my items are detained by customs and therefore need I to provide them with the invoice/proof of purchace so they could calculate VAT duties on the items. I was perplexed by this response because I never purchased anything. I brought it to their attention that those are my personal belongings, which I already paid everything for at the PTT office in Turkey when I had them shipped, what's now left is for them to be delivered. I didn't quite get a satisfying response after this. So I am kindly asking you to help me get my parcels delivered because there are things that are urgently needed in there, plus I don't see why it should take them beyond 5 months to release our items when they are already there with them. There seems to be a huge misunderstanding on the SA post office part and this shows their incompetence, because they believe I purchased foreign goods and thus need to provide them with invoice. Clearly this won't be resolved until they understand the parcels are my personal belongings. Please help. Please respond to this email ***
