Horrible service

Good day

I am Mpho Mfeqane from Meloding Virginia in the Free State. I was expecting a package from overseas since services were stopped because of Level 5 I understood that it will take forever to be dilivered. Last week on the 17 June 2020 someone came and brought the slip to me saying she found it with my name on it it was near her home which is a block away from my home.I was still puzzled as to how did that slip end up there.

On Monday the 22nd June 2020 I went to Meloding Postoffice to collect my package. I met a gentleman by the Name Vincent I didn't get his Surname. He took the slip and checked for my package, cameback and said was I sure I didn't pick up the package I said no. He went back again and checked, came back and said I should leave the slip with him he will call me. I wasn't at ease leaving that slip with him because it was lost before but eventually I did. Mr Vincent calles me after few hours saying There was a ******* at the post office and a case was opened so I should just call the place where my package came from and demand a new one. I'm still in awe after that response. I feel that I'm being victimized here how is it my fault that the post office was ****** and why should I pay for something I know nothing about?

In totally not happy about the response I got and how should this be carried further?
