<p>Today, when I went to collect post, I found notices for two registered items which had apparently been returned on the 20th February 2017 as they had not been collected within the 30 days period allowed. This is simply not true. Prior to the 20th February we have collected post on the 12th and 19th January as well as the 13th February 2017. On none of these occasions were any notices received to collect the items.</p> <p> </p> <p>Had this been the first instance of such an “oversight”, we could have accepted their apology. However, it is not. We have found items that were returned RTS on the same day that they were delivered, counter-to-counter items that they insisted had not been received, only to be “discovered” somewhere in the back of the Post Office after a huge argument with the Speed Services company, items addressed to Johannesburg that were sent to Pretoria, items that were addressed to Durban were traced to Cape Town and numerous other instances.</p> <p> </p> <p>All in all the service at the Hercules Branch is simply atrocious.</p>
