FINANCIAL LOSS DUE TO LATE/NON-DELIVERY

In December 2014, I ordered 250 copies of a book I had written, Wild Avengers (they cost me approx. R23 500 incl delivery). At great expense to myself, I organised a book launch on 7 March 2015 for 100 people. Amazon informed me that the books reached South Africa on 8 January 2015, however, by the evening of the day before the launch, I had only received 25 copies (they were despatched in 9 boxes). After many years of hard work, I had to cancel the launch that was to be the culmination of my creative efforts that I was going to use as a promotion for further sales. I am therefore out of pocket for the expected sales, future sales AND not to mention the cost of hiring the venue, food, petting zoo, etc. To add insult to injury, now that the boxes are arriving in dribs and drabs, I have to pay the Post Office approximately R270 per box for delivery!
