EMS or is it express mail?

I've been sent a package from Japan since the 6th of Dec. It shows via tracking from that side that it was dispatched to SA on the 9th. I called on the 12th after trying numerous times to track online to no success. No one answered at the call center I was on the automated reply thing for over an hour waiting to be assisted. I went to the nearest PO and tracked my parcel, it shows that it had arrived in SA it was at JHB customs. I waited and waited up until today (08/01/2017) and I went back to the PO. They told me the last time it was scanned was on the 19th of Dec in JHB. It doesn't show any more details about it's whereabouts. How long does it take really for them to dispatch a package from JHB to Pretoria? I've been calling since this morning and I am not getting through to humans just robots ?.
