Disapearing parcel despite tracking number- SA Postal service

A parcel posted in Oudtshoorn on 8th August was last scanned at the Jhb Internal Mail centre [hub] on 17th August and has not been seen since- and not delivered to the USA address. We have called the call centre and had no joy - they say again it was last scanned at the Jhb Internal Mail cenre [hub] and to email their Customer Services- here no response. Considering that in the United Kingdom the SLOWEST post is delivered within 48 hours the fact that it took 9 days to travel from Oudtshoorn to Jhb and then disappears indicates that our postal service is certainly not he best.
