Dell PC Shipped to UK - Destroyed - S**** Metal

<p>Dear South African Post Office</p> <p><br />On the 21-05-2016 I shipped an Item from South Africa to a friend in the UK via Airmail and which was handled by SA Post Office and Parcel Force. I had enquired about insuring the Item for R1,500 but was told I cannot insure it because of the location I am shipping to, I asked what should happen if the recipient does not receive the item or it is damaged and was assured I just need to keep the receipt.</p> <p> </p> <p>I had packaged the item, bubble wrapped all items and included foam so this would arrive intact. I was shocked, disgusted and quite frankly furious at the way the recipient has received the item.</p> <p><br />The Item is question is a Dell OptiPlex 760 Desktop PC and a few items I place inside the PC itself, and was shipped in mint condition for the recipients studies. When the recipient had received the item it had been dismantled beyond repairing or even putting the system back together, the framework is bent and appears to be pried open with a crowbar or similar tool, the plastic covers are all broken, the USB ports are even damaged. All internal wires disconnected, the DVD drive bay was hanging at an angle and inserted wrongly.</p> <p><br />There was a newly purchased mouse and keyboard, bubble wrapped and in there original packaging that is now scratched and damaged by the s**** metal remains of the pc in the box.</p> <p><br />The recipient has basically received numerous pieces of s**** metal from the PC I have shipped her.</p> <p><br />Customs(SA or UK) have destroyed the system when they could have simply went online and read on how to open up the system ,but didn't bother and the recipient and I are at a loss. </p> <p> </p> <p>I would like a refund on the shipped Item, shipping charges and customs charges that my friend has had to pay, as well as her travel expenses as Parcel Force gave her false information on where the parcel was held as she first travelled to a post office then told to pick up from the depot.</p> <p><br />If proof pics are required please inform me and I will gladly provide them.</p> <p> </p> <p>It states on the parcel force website that I should contact my south african post office it was shipped from so please respond ASAP!</p> <p> </p> <p>-Shipping - R2700(airmail)</p> <p>-Declared Cost of system</p> <p>-Recipient paid 65 Pounds off customs Tax for S**** Metal</p> <p>-45 Pounds in travels(recipient given the run around by parcel force) </p> <p><br />Local shipping no - CN ********** 74ZA<br />UK shipping no - EH ********** 62GB</p>
