Delivery is sooooo late

I ordered a present for my boyfriend from the UK on 3rd of February. It is now 17 March and it is still stuck at the Hub (customs by the International Mail Centre). His birthday is now, and i have no gift for him. I have been trying to track the number that was given to me, however nobody answers the phone. It either rings forever, and eventually i get cut off. Or i listen to a pre-recording for an extremely long period. I am convinced there is no-one working in the call centre. I saw a picture someone posted on facebook of what the Hub looks like, it is a disgrace. I am now not only worried that my parcel has taken so long to arrive and still is not delivered, but also that it is buried under tons of other disorganised parcels. The gift that i bought is extremely fragile, so now i am worried that the post office has also damaged what i bought.
