We have imported something from Amarica last year. It arrived into the country In December. Finally by the 15th Jan they decided to send the parcel to Durban AFTER it was incorrectly sent to Cape Town first. Customs required the invoice so they can do what they do best and charge on anything possible. We tried calling so we can get some form of person or email address to who we could send the invoice too. They REFUSED to answer their phone. Eventually forced the Durban post office to get us someone. We were put through to Siyabonga, who we mailed the invoice too and swore they will make the declaration and send the parcel through to my area on that day. It is 5 days later, the parcel is still at Durban customs, and low and behold not a single person is answering a phone or responding to emails just so we can get this parcel from the post office that they have had for over a month now! The South African postal system is probably one of the most useless services we have in the country!!!
