bad attitude from the stuff

Post Office Nahoon

I have been too many many public serving institution. I have never come across such appalling attitude from the stuff.

First this ladies working at the post address us the recipients of R350 like she was talking to school kids. oh no perhaps school kids have some dignity. she addressed us as though she was addressing animals. she told us she is doing us a favour by serving us and they are not obligated to serve us. so if we don't behave they are going to close the post office.

she went on to say the people who are coming to pay for the license are the one generating the money that we to receive. they have to serve them first. ( that is truly understandable) because the grant queue is long but to say they are generating the money that we are to receive no no no we not kids

then it was my turn to receive my grant. the lady took my ID and started punching it in. boom the network is down and they sat and we waited . strangely though a white gentleman walks in and say I hear the network is down. No Sir not for you. we can assist it you. exactly which network is down? they assisted the gentleman and he left. about 10 minutes later the network had had miraculously come back.

while we were sitting waiting for the network the two ladies were having a conversation between themselves.

" I don't care how long they have to wait. I actually don't feel sorry for them. the them must be the grant recipients. they must just wait.

I was standing with a 55 year old lady. who lost her job in Mar 2021 (helper) who and her mother are eagerly waiting for this grant. I'm not saying I did need it. but this lady's Mum is sick and alone at home because she had to come and queue for the grant. that R350 will carry them till the her mum receives her own grant.

I understand the recipients of the R350 grant are regarded as nothing. less than people.

the two ladies at the Nahoon Post Office treat like they are less than animals. they are disrespectful they are condescending and have no regard for people.

people go there with empty tummies waiting to receive that money that does not make them less of a person they are still human beings
