Abysmal or non-existent post box deliveries
I am venting here because I am tired of the continued excuses from SAPO personnel (albeit sincere, underpaid, and probably overworked) in replies to my emails from Customer Service and the Area Controller. (Although I commendably do get replies, unlike others who have complained.)
A two week strike ended more than two months ago. More than a month ago I read that SAPO promised to clear the "massive backlog" within three weeks. Hasn't happened. SAPO continues to say that my paid for post box at Bryanston is being "monitored'. Whatever that means. I too am "monitoring" it. And usually finding it empty. Just two examples . . .
A couple of weeks ago my Time magazine dated 11 June arrived in my box. It would usually be there before the issue date. So three months late. And nearly two months since the strike ended. I have received four later issues, albeit all very late. So there are "only" nine issues of the weekly magazine still missing.
During this last week I received the May statement of a charge card. More than three months late.
Having paid for a year's service and so far having received less than half that, are we again to be asked to pay up front for 2019?
