Absurd Rule in 2017

I Have an account with Post bank, my card expired the end of August. I went to the Post Office this morning with a temporary ID issued by home affairs just to be told they cant accept is as a form of Identification. They need the permanent ID, that should be ready for collection only in about 3 weeks. The more I'm trying to explain to the assistant that I do not have money I need access to the card the more she says to me I need to wait for my permanent ID and then come collect a new card. Seriously, you expect me to go without money until then and how am I suppose to get to work. This is an absolutely absurd rule. Please could someone do something about it.
