3 Months wait for re-assessment

I am a fashion designer. I had the privilege of designing and making Mrs South Africa's evening gown for the international competition in China.

The SA candidate went to the competition in China and subsequently on holiday with her husband in the USA.

Due to me needing the design back, she posted the design to me from the USA. After various reasons, including the postal strike, the design eventually landed up at the Flamwood Post office with an amount payable of approximately R 3 700 for Vat and customs duty.

I supp**** supporting documentation and sent the parcel back for re-assessment on the 4th Feb 2015, as this is simply a design I made in South Africa being returned and not an imported design to which customs and vat should be levied.

It's now 3 months since the parcel arrived at the Johanessburg International Mail Centre (HUB) according to the tracking on the SAPO website (arrival was on the 11th Feb 2015) for re-assessment.

Obliviously from my point of view I feel this is unacceptable as I have no idea of what happens during a re-assessment, but worst of all my local post office and calls to the JHB Int mail centre are futile as no one can give any answers.

Please help
