I am writing to formally lodge a complaint regarding *****ulent work and professional misconduct by a registered midwife.

Below are the details of the practitioner and the incident(s):

Practitioner Name: LJ Mabena SANC Registration Number: ***8 Location of Incident: Benoni Date and Time: 9 April 12 April 2026

Financial *****: We paid the full required fee to this midwife in two payments when my daughter was 28 weeks pregnant.

Since receiving payment, she has failed to attend a single prenatal appointment.

I have not met her in person at all.

Vanessa De Beer recommended her to me as one of the best.

Patterns of Deception: For 10 weeks, she avoided appointments using shifting excuses (claiming illness and hospitalization).

She has absolutely no back up plan or dr avail to me.

Patient Abandonment at Full-Term: Now that my daughter is past 39 weeks pregnant and due to give birth, the midwife has stated her uncle passed away, she will not conduct the birth, and she refuses to issue a refund immediatly and states i must wait until her uncle is laid to rest.

I need a full refund ASAP to pay a new midwife this late in her pregnancy.

This midwife has left a heavily pregnant woman with zero clinical oversight at the most critical stage of her pregnancy, directly endangering the lives of both mother and unborn child.I request an urgent investigation into her registration status and conduct.
