SA International Logistics
We had a very bad experience with SA International Logistics, ARS Logistics and Casa Blanca Logistics. They take your money for door to door delivery, but never pay for the shipping liner, Transnet harbour fees, customs nor the agent overseas after they demanded and additional R20 000 for unpacking and re-wrapping in order for "inspection" by customs. In the end, you pay more than double to get your container released. There are many bad reviews on these companies and we want to warn people to do their homework. For us, it was too late as they already took possession of our container. Our life was a nightmare to get the container delivered as they pulled all the plugs to assist us. After many phone calls to the shipping company (CMA CGM), Ceva Logistics, Alogis (the overseas agent) and Transnet, we managed to pay these companies and agents directly and they assisted us to get the paper work (Custom Dues) etc. to get the container delivered. (We paid an additional R50 000). For three weeks we send e-mails and messages to SA International logistics, ARS Logistics as well as Casa Blanca logistics requesting the payments and documents to have the container released and delivered. They did not assist nor did they make any payments. We had to buy some furniture just to survive, increasing extra unforeseen costs after we had to pay and additional R 70 00. This was more than double on their initial quote.
Proof is on hand. Unpacking, wrapping and packing for the inspection at cost +/ 50% cheaper than norm was given. The client knew of this. She knew we will be closed for 2 weeks. Extra cost to survive is not our fault
