Issue with South African International Logics for goods not received
I have arranged with South African International Logics to ship household items and important paperwork to the UK at the beginning of December 2019, The items were collected on the 19 December 2019 and I was told it would take between 2/4 months to reach the UK under normal circumstances, but due to it being the peak period it might take a little longer. I made full payment and was expecting everything go smoothly. Then the problems started, I was not getting any replies to the emails. Received a call and an email on the 12 Feb 2020 after sending an email, I was told that the container has been stopped and more money was needed for storage and repacking the items into the container, which was deposited on the 24 Feb, I explained that the funds could not cleared earlier as it was sent from my UK account, which was agreed upon. Received an email on the 17/03/2020, saying" the whole world is on lockdown so there will be delays, feel free to contact us by telephone or email". Then the excuses started if we received any response. goods were in Singapore, they sailed in Feb, they should be with you in July. Contact by telephone was getting impossible. The last reply I received 07/10/2020, managed to sail the cargo and did not want to tell us until it was on the water, our goods will be received between 3/4 months and there is no guarantee we will get them within that time. I sent an email asking whether the goods are still in South Africa on the 19/10/2020 because the last email was not clear, have had a response ever since.
