Uncaring SA Home Loans
I work in the travel industry and have my own company. During Covid I was unable to make an income. Straight after Covid was the ending of my 20 year marriage. I have the amount of R463 000 outstanding on my home. The house is valued at R1.7 million. The bond is structured over 58 months. I am unable to pay the full monthly installments of R10 700 per month and have been paying half. I've asked them to restructure the bond but they won't. I've asked that they extend the loan term but they won't. They are now demanding R35 000, the outstanding amount due to short payments, and that I pay the full R10 700 per month. They are threatening to destroy my credit rating and saying they will start forclosure in a few months time. I have been a client for 15 years and have not defaulted until now. I have been communicating with them about my situation and open about my situation. They still phone and email me demanding the full R10 700. They are not helping me to resolve anything. I now have to pay R12 000 to get my financials up to date, an amount that is going to push me further into debt. There is no care or wish to assist me during one of the most trying times in my life.
