STORM DAMAGE PAYOUT

My home was extensively damaged by the freak storms in October 2017. My house was assessed by Peter Builders. I have made many enquiries about payouts for the damages. Anele did not respond to my email and i could not get hold of her on many occasions. Eventually, on 21/11/17, i got hold of her telephonically. She presented me a figure of virtually 20% of the total damages, finding unacceptable excuses for declining certain claims. My house was badly flooded. I have, and am still suffering extreme inconveniences due to no attention being given to my damages. She has decided to send one of SAHL assessors to do a second check for which i am still waiting his/her arrival. I have been treated with extreme rudeness by Shaylin, a staff member. I am totally disgusted with SAHL and wont recommend them to anyone. They are very quick on the draw for late payments but dont care about their customers in unfortunate incidences like mine and find every excuse not to payout damages. Damages to my tiles, paving, awnings, gutters, walls, ceiling etc.. and they want to pay me a meagre R29000!!!!. Full damages is R162000. Ridiculous!!!!!!
