SA Homeloans- No humanity
I am very disappointed in SA Homeloans. I got a loan from them in 2018 for R1 200 00 of which I only took R700 000 and was up to date with all my payments. In January 2020 I started my own Company by receiving money from a close friend as an Investor, with the agreement to pay him back as soon as my business got on track. Then in March 2020 we were hit by the Covid pandemic and as so many people all over the world my business was serious trouble. I did not get the income I would have if the pandemic had not hit the world. During this time I could not pay my full bond installment, but I did managed to pay some money every month. Needless to say I fell behind on my payments. During this period I had friends and family that supported me financially and kept me afloat. At this this stage my business is doing good and my bond with SA Homeloans is up to date. I app**** for extra money on my bond as I still could do according to my bond. But they turned me down because of my bad payments over the last 12 months, meaning during Covid Lockdown. Even when I related my frustration in them, I was told in no uncertain terms that the "calculator" automatically rejects my application due to the last 12 months payment record. It was made very clear to me that my personal circumstances would not even be considered. This was things beyond anyone's control. I cannot accept that there is no more humanity shown by this company. It would seem that one is to them is a cash ***.
