Sa home loans and it's legal team are so hell bent to auction my house and I want to know why?
made an arrangement of payment with the lady called shaizma mohamed on March before coved 19 lockdown.on 03/04/2020 I called her to review my arrangement as only essential workers were allowed to work. She suggested that I pay monthly installments.
Ever since then I've been paying monthly installments as per arrangement till August. On the 14/08/2020 I received an email from their legal team informing me about a default judgment and a court date was 25/08/2020.
I rep**** by advising the legal team to communicate with sa home loans as an arrangement was made with them.on the 17/08/2020 I received an email from shaizma mohamed stating that I only made an arrangement for April and that is why they are proceeding with the judgment.
I was taken by surprise that she left me for four months paying monthly installments as per our arrangement and not even once did she phoned me to notify me that I was defaulting.
We had a new arrangement that due to lockdown being relaxed to level 2 recently, it's when I can be able to continue to pay the initial arrangement of March. She further informed me that, she would inform their legal team to draft an arrangement that I should sign.
On the 25/08/2020 I received a call from sa home loans legal team that they are waiting for me at the court. I asked why was I supposed to be at the court, because I made a new arrangement and still waiting for documents to sign.
She told me that she emailed them yesterday. What is so astonishing is that the documents were sent a day before the court date, stating that I have to sign an agreement to pay R10 000 within four days. Failing to do so, they would have to proceed with the judgment immediately.
