S A Homeloans insurance pointless

I have home insurance with S A Homeloans and would not recommend them to anyone. I have owned my house for over three and a half years and have never had any issues with my roof leaking. During a recent hail storm I developed a leak in my roof. I logged a claim with S A Homeloans Insurance who then sent someone out to assess the damage and quote. Four days into this (with my roof still leaking) S A Homeloans Insurance contacted me to inform me that the roof leak would not be covered by them as it is a maintenance issue - how maintenance is supposed to avoid issues from a hail storm I am unsure??? After complaining I received a call from a lady (cannot remember her name) of "authority" who very rudely said that they will not assist and are not prepared to get another provider to assess the roof - if I wanted to, I could get another opinion at my cost! I have paid this insurance from day one of owning my property and have only ever had one small claim. Needless to say I will be looking elsewhere for my home insurance.
