Pathetic use of the word emergency
I had a burst gyser on Friday night and logged the claim immediately that night with the claims hotline The next morning they were good enough to send plumber boys out to assess the situation.. On arrival plumberboys saw that it was infact a burst gyser and all they could do was turn of the tap to avoid the water to continue leaking through out the ceiling that Inturn has restricted all water supply to the house. When we asked plumber boys what's the next step they said the gyser is still under warranty so we must speak to SA Homeloan again.. Saturday morning after they left I called Brownwyn who advised that their hands are tied because the gyser problem now lies with the manufacturer who only operates during working hours... Now SA home loan insurance please tell me how can u say a burst gyser falls under emergency yet u cannot assist.. In any case I battled out the weekend and called sa home loans again this morning and sue pretty much advised the same everything depends on the manufacturer like really what the hell I pay my insurance promptly I have an emergency since Friday night and I'm still waiting for my gyser to be repaired I don't care about the manufacturer that's not my problem I have 2 kids under 2 with no water inside the house... Sort this out!!!!
