Not willing to help us with an arrangement

After several calls and communications trying to make a temporary repayment arrangement as I am currently on maternity leave till February 2019 and my husband who was paying for this loan, lost his job in July 2018 and is currently looking for employment. We are not getting any assistance at all. I have tried to explain our situation and also indicated that we do not have any intention of not replying this account but unfortunately we are just currently experiencing financial constraints. I have indicated telephonic ally that I will take over the full monthly repayments when I return to work in March 2019 (after 4 months maternity leave). I don't understand after explaining our situation why are we being pushed to agree to an agreement that we know we won't be able to fulfill. SA home loans asking us to pay the 2months in arrears before making an arrangement of repaying 60% of our bond repayment for the next 4 months or alternatively, continue with the full monthly repayment and they will add the 2 months in arrears at the end of our 20 years term) and I have indicated that I won't be able to pay the full amount whilst on maternity leave. All we are asking for is for an arrangement to pay the reduced amount for the next four months and I will take over the full monthly repayment when I go back to work after my maternity leave, to also please add the 2 months in arears at the end of our 20 years term cause we genuinely currently do not have that amount, whilst you are insisting for us to make an immediate payment for the arrears.
