Incompetence

It is very disappointing to note the lack of competence by some of the people working at and contracted to SAHomeloans. We acquired a bond from SAHomeloans 3 years ago for R1.3 million. As usual SAHomeloans sent out their valuator who claimed the property has alot of value. Since then we removed the manual, breaking down driveway gate and installed a solid, automated gate, we renovated the pool and had the roof redone completely, added CCTV cameras and a 2nd 2 room outbuilding that cost over R300 000. Since then, the property also gained value over time, besides the R450 000 more value that was added. SAHomeloans now pre-approved us for R300 000 further loan pending valuation. The "valuator" turned up an hour late, **** and gave in his "valuation 2 days later which according to him is only R200 000 more in value. Please explain to me how this makes sense.. he even took pictures of the entire house both inside and out and of the house plans and occupational certificate. This is something that just doesn't make sense. SAHomeloans needs to ensure they employ competent people and not blindly trust those contracted to them especially when it doesn't make sense. And after pre-approval of the R300 000 the consultant claims it's affordability together with valuation. So, if this is true, SAHomeloans pre-approved us but now a few days later, that's not valid? And obviously adding value to property today means a depreciation in the value if this "valuator" is anything to go by.
