Formal Complaint Regarding Inadequate Service and Claim Resolution

I am writing to formally express my deep dissatisfaction with the handling of my recent insurance claim after my house was severely flooded. The entire experience has left me feeling frustrated, disappointed, and undervalued as a client.

After the flood caused significant damage to my property, including waterlogging of cabinets (now rotting) and irreparable harm to equipment, I expected the support and fairness that one would reasonably anticipate from an insurer. However, this has been far from my experience.

Rude and Unhelpful Assessor: The appointed assessor was unprofessional and dismissive of the severity of the damage. Despite clear evidence of extensive destruction, they chose to approve only minimal repairs, leaving critical damage unaddressed.

Inadequate Compensation: The payout I received covered only half of the replacement cost for the damaged equipment, which is far below what is required to restore my home to its prior condition.

Lack of Response: I escalated my concerns by writing directly to the CEO, but to date, I have received no acknowledgment or response. This lack of communication is unacceptable and adds to my frustration.

As a loyal client, I feel let down by SA Home Loans Insurance. I trusted that, in a time of crisis, you would provide the support and financial assistance outlined in my policy. Instead, I have been met with poor service, inadequate compensation, and silence from senior leadership.

I urge you to re-evaluate my claim and address the following points immediately:

Reassess the damages with an independent and impartial assessor. Provide fair compensation that covers the actual replacement costs of the damaged equipment and property. Offer a formal apology for the rude behavior of the assessor and the lack of response to my email. Please consider this letter as an urgent request for resolution. I expect to hear from you within [reasonable timeframe, e.g., 7 working days]. If this matter is not resolved to my satisfaction, I will have no choice but to escalate it further, including filing a complaint with the relevant ombudsman and sharing my experience publicly.
