This is what SA Home loans claims on their web page:

You’ll need to submit all the necessary documents to get the ball rolling,

SA Home Loans will provide you with an ‘Approval in Principle’ within 2 working days of receiving all your necessary documentation.
Within three working days, one of our expert appraisers will value the property

What really happens

Went through the whole preapproval process which they approved even gave me my expected interest rate etc, I was impressed and so went ahead with the bond application, what a nightmare

Was sent an e-mail by a "Senior Property Finance Consultant" called NAVIN OODITH asking me to fill in the application and submitt it with other documents to him.

I submitted all my papers on the 11/11/2016

Tried phoning him numerous times to follow up but he was never at his desk.

On the 23/11/2016 having still not heard any at all (no SMS, no email, no phone call, not even a reference number) sent an e-mail to them asking for an update.

25/11/2016 first ever communication from SA Home Loans to me and it says
"We just awaiting the loan to be approved for valuation now."
ie its been 14 days since your application and as yet nothing has happened.

01/12/2016 Tried contacting ther call centre for help and was told that only he could access my files but he was not avaiable at present.

Tried phoning him 3 times between 12 and 3pm yet he never once answered his phone.

You cliam "SA Home Loans will provide you with an "Approval in Principle’ within 2 working days of receiving all your necessary documentation."

What utter bull**** its been 14 working days and I still dont even have a referance number never mind "approval in Principle"
