Claim made 10 October and still played.

I have bought a house 2 May 2017. Got hit with the side effects of a tornado and claimed from my insurance, SA Homeloans Insure 10 October 2017. From the start we have battled to get this claim solved. 1st Experience was the assessor made arrangements to meet. She arrived 10 minutes early and already left our property before me and my husband arrived. - How can she recognise any faults if we did not explained to her what the damage is??? 2nd Experience was the roof company, they requested us as homeowners to paint our roof or we will loose our guarantee on the repair. 3rd Experience was I had to contact the company to fix the wooden doors and windows called South Side Plumbers, the number the insurance gave was incorrect, managed to get them and gave the insurance the correct numbers. 4th Once South Side Plumbers submitted their quote, the assessor had to come out again, I had to head hunt him for three weeks before he submitted his report, witch surely was not great, as my claim was rejected. Due to wear and tear on the doors. Yes there was wear and tear but the windows was not loose the doors was all in tact and there was no leaks when rained. After the storm these doors could not be used and can not close properly, leaving me to sleep with open doors. The month the assessor arrived after the stormed happed surely the doors is damaged completely, how can this be rejected if you lack on reporting and then repairs??? 5th Experience is that the laminated flooring company appointed would like to install the new flooring, but how can this be done if there is broken windows and water access in the house when it rains?????????????????????????????? I have more damage on the floors by now than the 8th of March. 6th Experience is that they appointed PG glass to fix the broken windows but not the frames???????????????????? They have not contacted me ???? 7th Experience is that every time I phone SA Homeloans Insure I get told that this is escalated and escalated, up to this stage that the assessor needs to re asses. How much time do you need to play your customers???????????????????????????? I never get any phone calls returned and will phone and receive empty promises. 8th Experience is that do not buy a new home get into trouble with a storm and think your insurance will sort you out. We have spent all savings on a deposit at SA Homeloans and this is how you get treated. You spend all your money with them and the actually owns the house that you are trying to look after and maintain.

It is shocking!

2 February 2018 and only my roof is fixed , that is still leaking.

No apologies no calls nothing.

My advice to the public, do not insure with them.
