Bad service from SA home loans insurance

I had my very first claim with SA home loans insurance. I would not recommend them to anyone. You will pay for the peace of mind that some day you will be covered in an event, just to find out that they are willing to do anything to reject your claim. I had a water damage claim as a result of a burst pipe. They rejected all floor repairs, as the claims adjuster (whose job it is to get the claim rejected) they appointed after the contractor assessed the damage and quoted, without even doing one test, claiming the floor adhesive or tiles were not done properly. The emergency number for claims on weekends are also not working. I would not recommend them to anyone. I will be looking for another insurance company and also move my home loan to a different institution, as i cannot do business with a company without integrity.
