My problem started when I moved into my new house in March 2013 and I started experiencing problems with the heat pump in June 2013, cold water was coming out and there was no hot water or 1 person will wash the rest is cold water. I called SA heat pump and the technician came and check the heat pump and I was told it will be fine. A couple of week the same thing happened and I ask them (SA heat pump) to change the unit and it was not done a technician come and check the unit again. The same problem happened again in June 2014 and again in June 2015. A technician came in June and he could not fix the problem, another one came. I was never told that there will be a call out fee/payment that I need to pay for fixing the unit. I again requested that the unit be changed because every year I experience the same problem. I even after I complain and requested that the heat pump be replaced with a new unit, this was not done. Two months down the line I get a call saying I owe them R3581.45 which was never communicated to me and I'm told that the warranty for the unit is finished and I need to pay for fixing the unit which was a problem from 2013 and they refused to give me a new one.
