Poor and dishonest service by SA Express

On the 24th November 2016 I was travelling from OR Tambo Airport to Bram Fisher in Bloemfontein and I handed over my suitcase after collecting my ticket and continued to the boading gate. My suitcase was locked with combination numbers.

On my arrival in Bram fisher Airport in Bloemfontein, when i was about to pick my suitcase at the pick up point, I noticed that it was tempered with, and forcefully opened. But before I could take it I showed it to SA Express official (Mamello) who was standing next to me to collect some lost lagages. Mamello took my details and promise to write me an email immediately when she arrive in her office.

On my arrival at home when I check what was taken out of my suitcase, I discovered that they took my Ray Ban Sunglasses, Pair of Timberland boots and two Diesel jeans.

Two days went by without getting any email from Mamello and on the third day I went to the Airport in Bloemfontein to make my claim, and I was advise to talk to Kelebogile who gave me the claims form and advised me to go to the Police station to make an affidavit, and also provided me with the details where I must fax or email my claims. All that was done on the 28 November 2016, which I later got a response from Mpho Tlhapane who was handling the matter with the case # ********** 7.

On the 05th December 2016 I again called SA Express to find out how far are they with their investigations, this is where i was sent up and down, beeing told that Mpho is on leave up until I manged to track the department supervisor/Manager Clint Harris who pushed Mpho to speedup my case.

Mpho late in January wrote me an email explaining that the company will reimburse me an amoun of R262,00 for my lost items which worth R16,987.00 as the items lost weigh 1kg according to her explanation. I the wrote back to ask how did she arive to 1 KG weight, and request the details of the supervisor which until to date she has not came back to me with the details of her seniors, up until to date I have not receive any payment for my lost items that worth R16,987.00.

Please Hello Peter could you kindly intervene on the matter as had I knew that If my belongings get lost in the hands of SA express i will struggle this much to get paid, and R16,987 to them it is equal to R262,00 which is so unfair to me as I am not the one who lost the staff it is their poor management.

My number is ********** incase you want more info regarding this matter
