The complaint : These guys called me sometime last year and they offered to lower my monthly payments to my creditors and I agreed though they didn't explain that they were in fact going to place me under debt review. They sent me a link on my phone to allow them to be able to have a screen which allows me to sign (sign pad) which they said is to give them permission to access my credit profile. They then called back and said they got access to my credit profile and they can reduce my monthly payments to R2500 a month all I needed to do was to send them a copy of my ID and salary advice. I then said I need to first know how much was my total debt and how long will I be paying that R2500 and they said they would send it. To my surprise my credit card was no longer working and I called nedbank to find out what was the problem and they advised me that I was under debt review and they gave me the details of the debt counselor. I called the debt counselor to enquire and they said I had agreed to be placed under debt review. I asked them how did they do the assessment without my salary advice and they said I told them that my salary is R10 000 a month. I tried to reason with them but couldn't agree. I asked them to reverse the process and they have been sending from pillar to post. As a result my creditors stopped debiting my account and am now behind with payments. I have now made arrangements with my creditors to start making payments. I have been trying to make payments on my own but couldn't as the creditors said I am under debt review. I therefore ask for your assistance in resolving this matter and getting the information removed from itc and the process reversed. Please note that I have never had any problems paying my debts
