Sa Credit Assessors fooled me
I joined sa credit assessors in August 2018 and cancelled in August 2019. The reason is that I was told that sa credit assessors will reduce interest in all my debts and I will not accumulate arrears. I was told that they will deduct R10500 monthly to pay my debts (which was about R19500 monthly installments) till they are all payed off. This was going to be for 5 years according to them. Arrears started to accumulated from the first month, no interests was reduced. I called sa credit assessors for assistance I was then told that I must increase my monthly installments to pay off my debts. I refused because this was not our aggreement. I had already accumulated about R40000 of arrears in my debts. None of their duties were done. I found myself in so much trouble and debt. They are refusing to remove me from debt review. I dont understand why because am afraid that I am accumulating more arrears and debt because of them. I am now trying to pay these new arrears and increased interest. They wrote a cancellation letter 2 months after I requested them to cancel stating that I was being uncooperative and they will not remove me from debt review. I payed them R10500 every month without skipping payments. I stopped paying when they were delaying cancellation. I nelieve that they must be investigated. They can't be ruining futures of young South Africans. They ruined my name by acccumulating arrears and interest. They told me that I will only have to pay R10500, I didn't know that thos amount could change. Please avoid sa credit assessors. I dont blame the debt review process. I feel that this specific company ruined my life. And it must be investigated and closed down.
