I am writing to express my concern regarding a recent interaction I had with your dealership regarding a vehicle listed on AutoTrader. Upon receiving an email alert about the vehicle, I promptly contacted the dealership and was assisted by Renier. I informed him of my interest and mentioned that I would like to proceed with a trade-in. I followed all the necessary steps as instructed. Renier asked if I wanted to apply for the vehicle in order to be first in line and secure first option on the purchase. I proceeded with the application, and approval was granted within the hour. Following the approval, Renier stated he would arrange to bring the vehicle to me along with a colleague to assess my trade-in vehicle. Unfortunately, this meeting did not occur as scheduled, and no further communication was provided. I also noticed that the listed price of the vehicle on AutoTrader had increased after my approval. Additionally, there was a discrepancy regarding the vehicle’s age. The registration indicated it was a 2013 model, raising the question of how a 12-year-old vehicle qualifies for financing. Renier mentioned that such decisions are made by the bank. When I attempted to follow up the next day about the missed appointment, I was informed that Renier was with another client and that he would return my call. However, I never received a response, and no further communication was initiated from your side. At no point did I cancel the deal; rather, I was left without any updates or closure.
