RYOBI's lack of after sales maintenance
About ten years ago, I bought a Ryobi cut off saw from Massmart. After using it for some time at home, it started tripping my main switch and I took it to Ryobi in Midrand for repairs. Two weeks later I got a call from Ryobi to come and collect it. I was then told that I should rather buy another cut off saw displayed on their shop floor as a "demo model" sourced from stores like Massmart as they can't repair mine... what kind of a supplier who CAN'T REPAIR OWN PRODUCTS at their workshop?? Two weeks ago, I emailed their workshop requesting to buy a blade bolt for my other Ryobi saw and I was thereafter instructed via email not to contact them telephonically nor via email but blindly come to their workshop without knowing if they had the "bolt" for my saw or not. Fuel is expensive and I have to make sure that I use it to my benefits and not for dead milages. Somehow I feel like Ryobi is luring us to their store/workshop so we can buy what they couldn't sell through normal channels. I still have various functional Ryobi power tools in my position, what should I do when they need repairing?? Was I wrong by trusting Ryobi tools for keeps?
