Do not buy Ryobi generators

I recently bought a brand new Ryobi RG2200I (2.2KW) from Builders warehouse in May this year for R9,500. I used it 3 times during load shedding then it broke. I sent it back to BW for my money back or a new product, but they said they can only send it back to Ryobi. So I waited 3 weeks (without power during load shedding) until I got my "repaired" generator back. By that time however load shedding had stopped. Fast forward a few weeks and load shedding is back. I take the generator out of the box it was still in since the repair and start using it. On the second day of using the "repaired" generator it breaks again and I take it back to BW who again refuses to refund me. Again they send it back to Ryobi for the whole same story. It has now been a week and no feedback yet, sitting in the dark during stage 6 loadshedding with 2 kids. I advise against buying Ryobi generators as their products are poor and client service terrible.
