Ryks are Disgusting

I bought a Braun hand-held blender about five years ago. Recently I found that when I used my blender the chopping blades would not turn (the drive unit and the blades did not properly engage), although the motor turned freely.

On Brauns website I saw that Ryks Electrical in Valhalla, Pretoria was the nearest repair shop where I could take my blender to be repaired. On 17 January this year I took the blender to them. The owner spoke to me and verified that they could have the blender repaired. However, he was very rude when he thought I had not brought in the whole blender to him for repair. I was stunned when he calmed down when I took the part out he required out of the packet I had brought with me. I felt quite surprised since his reaction was obviously the result "of a bad day". He assured me that my blender would not be damaged in their very dirty, disorganised shop. After the 17th I 'phoned Ryks several times. The excuses I received were that Braun's assistant had taken leave, Braun's assistant's mother had died, Braun's assistant had not sent the correct "part", etc. This morning (i.e. 20 February) I contacted Rykes again and was told that Braun were unable to fix my blender. Not once had they 'phoned me to tell me what was happening concerning my blender being fixed and every time I had to communicate with them they were quite rude and very disinterested in my problem. I would really recommend that Braun take them off their internet site showing the public that they have anything to do with Braun - Ryks really brings Brauns firm into disrepute. Oh, I have not mentioned - when I received my blender upon collection it was very dirty and scratched.

My Braun blender is now in the ******* bin and Braun has a very disgusted, angry customer.

Lyn
