The Business Owner Ferdie van Gass gave me a quotation to replace some of my rotten lapa's grass and spray my lap and install a Lightning conductor. Also he would also repair my swimming pool. He quoted me R22,350.00. I had to pay him a deposit of 80% and he took quite some time to finish. Some days he would not pitch up and other days he would just drop off his workers and he would disappear. It took him forever to finish. Near to the end he let me know he still needs another R4000.00 because when they started fixing my swimming pool he said that there was more damage and he will need to purchase epoxy which was not included in the quotation. I then did so. This all happened end Oct beginning Nov last year. When he eventually finished it looked all good and great so final payment was made. It was not 3 months after that that my swimming Pool started falling holes in the epoxy and "fixing"of my swimming Pool. I had a expert come out to look at what he did and he caused more damage to my swimming pool than before. To fix my swimming pool will now cost me between R17 000 and R25 000 - Then this is not even my lapa. He hardly replaced any rotten grass. Only a very small portions was done and what ever he said he sprayd on my lapa is not working. When it rains all the rotten pieces of lapa runs into my swimming Pool. I thought I could trust this guy as he is a church going man. And obviously that was not the truth. All in all I paid him R27 350.00 and it is not even a year later and I have more damage than I had before. And I gave him my last bit of money to fix this and he gave me his word that it would last. Please do not trust him as I lost a lot of money for nothing. It now is going to cost me more to fix everything than when I first started.
