The only thing 'floating' in Rudie's Floating TV units is your money!

I saw an adverti*****t for Rudie's Floating TV Units on a Facebook group ("Eks van die Ooste") and requested a quote from him. He sent the quote the same day and asked for 80% of the total amount as a deposit, which I paid the following day. Rudie (Snyders) indicated that the cabinet would take "2-3 weeks" to complete. I asked him why it would take so long, to which he rep**** that it "depends on Chamberlains, who need to cut the wood," but that it might be completed earlier.

After three weeks, I followed up, but Rudie ignored my calls, WhatsApp messages, and emails for two days. I then made a post on "Eks van die Ooste", after which he sent a voice note committing to refunding my money. He later admitted that he had used the deposit for his "car's tires and battery" instead of purchasing the materials (which is why he couldn't build my cabinet).

He also mentioned that he actually had a "full-time job" and only did this on the side (had I known this, I would never have used him). He promised to refund my money by the end of the following week, but that did not happen. Once again, he had excuses and stories and asked for an extension. I refused and reported a case of ***** with the SAPS and my bank.

He was furious when his account was frozen and even tried to paint me as the villain. I do not believe Rudie ever intended to build my cabinet!
