However, we've asked over and over for proof of payment from Andre du Toit and Sona Pillay who have not been able to give us sufficient proof of the money ever leaving a different Rubicon bank account where they transferred the 500k into from the late estate account. They say the money went from this account into BHI, but have failed to prove this to me. They were also unable to show where the few so-called investment withdrawals came from on the bank statements - did this come from the BHI bank account or just a withdrawal from the same separate Rubicon account - who knows as they won't share this important detail?So unfortunately it looks like we've either lost this money or it remains in this separate account and Andre and Sona are yet to share any evidence on whether they are trying to get it back for us. Outside of this mess alone, I had to get a tax consultant to replace their appointed tax consultant who originally estimated we'd need to pay up to 1.5m in tax to SARS... Completely wrong, and then when we challenged that it was wrong and advised on how to do it properly their tax consultant quit, the tax we ended up paying correctly when using the tax consultant I had to appoint myself was under 80k. I don't have the patience to add more examples of what went wrong along the way, but my advice would be to keep a close eye on the detail of your estate if it's still with them. I was unable to get an answer as to how they got in touch with my parents in the first place to manage the estate. This is probably the most stressful situation I've been in my life and don't wish it upon anyone. I will be reporting my evidence to the master for their advice and to help investigate the matter and funds lost, which doesn't seem to be getting resolved by Rubicon from what I have been shown. These are merely facts, I'll leave you to make the assumptions.
