Ruan Vorster Attorneys Billing

It was brought under my attention that Standard Bank gave Joubert & May Attorneys a condition for the release of the bond. The speculated condition is that Mr and Mrs Du Plessis's existing property needs to be sold before we may proceed with the purchase. The property is currently leased and may be sold in the future, also provide this information at application stage. The property has not yet been sold. If we knew that this condition was put in place, we would not have agreed to proceed with the purchase. I advised Ruan Vorster Attorneys that we are not aware of this condition, we've already given notice to our current landlord and made arrangements to move into the property as soon as possible, only to find out that Joubert & May Attorneys had information that was never communicated to parties involved. This is truly in bad taste and unacceptable. Now I received a bill from Ruan Vorster Attorneys for almost R12 000, because we can't proceed with the purchase. I am also told that the account needs to be settled within 30 days. They agreed at the time that Joubert & May Attorneys should have communicated any conditions, now they want to bill me for their lack of communication.
