Formal Complaint Regarding Bus Driver Incident – DEUCE Service (19 January 2026)

Dear Sir / Madam, I am writing to formally report a serious incident involving a DEUCE bus service that occurred on Monday, 19 January 2026, at approximately 06:49 AM. At the time of the incident, I was waiting to board the DEUCE bus in front of the Circus Circus Hotel, travelling in the direction of the Venetian Hotel. I was third in line to board the bus. After the passengers ahead of me had boarded, I stepped onto the bus with my left leg inside the vehicle while my right leg was still on the pavement. Without warning and before I was fully on board, the bus driver closed the doors on my left leg, just above the knee. The bus then pulled away while my leg was trapped in the door. As the vehicle moved forward, the force caused significant injury to my leg, including muscle damage. Despite the obvious danger of the situation, the driver continued driving as if nothing was wrong. Another DEUCE bus was directly behind and witnessed the entire incident. A witness approached me afterward, expressed serious concern, and stated that the situation could have resulted in fatal injuries had I fallen beneath the bus. The bus involved is registered under Nevada EX 80978. As a result of this incident, I sustained an injury to my leg, which is currently damaged and painful. I have already submitted an online complaint regarding this matter, but as of today, I have not received any feedback or acknowledgment. Given the severity of the incident and the potential risk to passenger safety, I find this matter extremely concerning and unacceptable. I respectfully request a formal investigation into this incident, feedback on the outcome, and information on the steps that will be taken to prevent similar occurrences in the future.
