TO EVERYONE WHO HAS A ROLLER SHUTTER - PLEASE NEVER USE THIS COMPANY!

9 months ago i had an issue with my roller shutter door. I google searched roller door repair and RSD SA popped up.

I took a chance and called them, thankfully they were able to send out a technician reletively quickly.

after assessing the situation, they advised that the shaft of the roller door was broken.

they replaced the shaft. it costed more than R12 000.00.

9 months later the same shaft is broken.

they went to site to see the issue and advised me that the shaft needs to be replaced. after 2 weeks of persistently messaging them and asking them to sort their poor workmanship out they haven't responded.

they gave me guarantees and warranties initially when they did the installation. but haven't come good on their policy / words.

today I sent my team to remove the roller door and have it assessed. the "shaft " they used was actually a thin hollow pipe. i'm horrified by the workmanship and can't believe what shortcuts these people take.

Please please please, no matter how desparate you are, do not use RSD. they will rip you off, there's no after sales support and they will have no shame quoting you for the same work they did repairs on without fixing their own initial poor workmanship.

they use cheap materials and charge an absolute fortune.

just do not give them your business. it's not worth it.
