Ban on acohol sale and distribution is unfair

The ban on alcohol sale is very unfair to responsible consumers and alcohol-based businesses in the country. I believe that certain care centres were set aside for COVID-19 treatments. Why then was alcohol banned on the grounds that it causes accidents that exert serious strains on COVID-19 treatments. The policy of banning alcohol sales and distribution is as ridiculous as wanting to close the highways because some drivers over-speed or have accidents. It is also similar to banning people from eating because some people over-eat and become obese. I don't get the rationale behind this government action.
