Roy's Power Steering

I usually write reviews in praise of service but this was a shocker. I took 2 cars to Roy's Power Steering in Cape Town - you'd think with a name like that they'd know what to do. The Honda CRV came in with a noise from the steering that they couldn't find. The changed linkages and bushes and that was okay but original problem not solved. They then told me a front shock was broken and leaking; I was surprised as it was only 2 years old. I queried them on it again and they said it's leaking - at least they had the decency not to look me in the eyes. I took it to my shock guys and they said it's fine and not broken or leaking - I saw it myself. The Honda was dirty after the work there - oily fingerprints everywhere - a shocker. And then there was the Polo. This was a nightmare - they said they reconditioned the power steering but within a day it was worse & was making a horrible noise. Back to them again, and then still no good on the power steering. I paid for both 'repairs' but service is awful - one mechanic is friendly but they open late, phones are rarely answered and the Polo was truly filthy after the work, right down to grease all over the steering wheel. I decided to cut my losses & take the Polo to another company & ended up spending a fortune on a new pump and recon power steering as I didn't trust Roy's. I'm sorry to say this but Roy's Power Steering is perhaps the worst service experience outside of government I have encountered in Cape Town.
